Ecommerce analyst Paradigm B2B has released its yearly B2B Combine, in which it grades ecommerce providers across the key areas of interest for the B2B technology buyer. In the 2022 version, VTEX was awarded medals in each one of the 12 categories that Paradigm assesses for the Midmarket Edition.
Overall, VTEX was awarded three gold medals, four silver medals, and five bronze medals in the 2022 edition of the B2B Combine.
According to Paradigm, a bronze medal means an ecommerce platform vendor is differentiated from other offerings in the market. VTEX was awarded bronze medals for four Product Capabilities –Content & Data Management; Integrations, Operations & Infrastructure; Sales & Channel Enablement; and Transaction Management—, as well as one Strategic Pillar –Partner Ecosystem–.
VTEX scored silver medals, awarded to vendors that prove to be “superior”, in Site Search, Ability to Execute, Total Cost of Ownership, and Vision & Strategy.
Finally, VTEX proved to be an “exceptional vendor” and was awarded gold medals for Marketplaces, Promotion Management, and Customer Service & Support. VTEX was the only vendor awarded a gold medal for Marketplace capabilities.
Paradigm selected 10 vendors to be included in the 2022 Combine, and they were all graded on a scale of 1 to 5 across 38 detailed and weighted criteria. Paradigm also gave special importance to the “voice of the customer” feedback gathered by the company itself.
The Combine described VTEX’s offering as “particularly well-suited for midmarket B2B companies looking for an all-in-one eCommerce, OMS, and Marketplace solution that possesses strong promotions capability and is offered in a flexible, multitenant SaaS environment”.
The report also revealed that VTEX’s customers spoke highly of the company’s integrated solution, as well as its dedication to customer support. Among VTEX’s strengths, Paradigm also mentioned a strong Order Management System, Impressive out-of-the-box marketplace functionality, strong promotions functionality, and modern multitenant architecture.
This is the fourth year in a row that Paradigm has published its B2B Combine. Its criteria were established by Andy Hoar, one of the world’s leading authorities on B2B eCommerce business and strategy, and a former vice president and principal analyst at Forrester Research.
According to Paradigm, the objective of the Combine is to simplify the decision-making dynamic for ecommerce platform technologies, recognizing that there is no single solution that addresses all of the needs of technology buyers.
“The goal is to put the ecommerce platform vendors through the paces so that buyers can make well-informed decisions without having to spend months of time executing their own research.”
